We are focused on making a difference to someone else's day by doing what we can to be kind. I wonder when we will formally recognise 100 Acts of Kindness......
This week, tell us how your surprised a member of your family with a random act of kindness. Who was the recipient? What was it that you did and how did you feel, knowing that you had made a difference to the day of a loved one.
n preparing our Essential Agreement, we commented on how we valued a supportive environment where our differences are appreciated and where we can take the opportunity to encourage and reassure one another. On Leadership day, we viewed a video about 'paying it forward' and we were all inspired by the simple acts of kindness that were displayed. This has led me to thinking about the possibilities of 'paying it forward' in our classroom each and every day, as well as in our lives outside of school. "There is no better exercise for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up." John Holmes. I would like to promote a 6S challenge. How long will it take us to achieve 100 Acts of Kindness? First of all, we need to consider the question - what do we mean by an 'act of kindness?" Before we commence the challenge, post your ideas on this page. This will give us a bank of ideas to draw upon. I would also like you to consider how we can ensure that all members of the 6S classroom are recipients of acts of kindness. |
